Adapting to Change - Immigration Policies

February 2018

This story required research to find accurate statistics and to verify the credibility of the interviews. Immigration can be a sensitive subject, so the research was necessary in order to produce the most accurate journalism.

I interviewed a Border Patrol Agent because he has experienced first hand the shifts in immigration policies. Luis Rodriguez told his story of a historical immigration process that began in 1942, demonstrating the shifts of immigration policies throughout the century.

As construction for the southern border wall began, I interviewed a US Border Patrol agent to see just how this wall will impact his daily job.
